Chief Responsibilities:

  • Assistance the Summertime Intensives Director in organizing and planning all aspects of ABT's thirty+ urban center Summer Intensive audience tour.
  • Maintain audition tour databases and all paperwork for ABT'south New York, Collegiate and satellite Summer Intensive and Immature Dancer programs.
  • Answer student, parent or dance school calls, post and e-mails regarding information about pre-registration, auditions, registration and full general Summer Intensive programme questions.
  • Data processing of all students (iv,500+) on the national audience tour and their audition results and enrollment.
  • Monitor and procedure payments and maintain enrollment data for approximately i,200 enrolled students.
  • Assemble and distribute student handbooks, evaluations, and housing data to enrolled students.
  • Monitor students in the National Training Scholar plan and written report their progress to the Summertime Intensive Managing director and Artistic Director.
  • Coordinate with Bursar to runway tuition payments, account balances and scholarships for enrolled students.
  • Provide general authoritative aid during the Collegiate and New York Summer Intensives and Young Dancer Summer Workshop, including creating weekly schedules, taking attendance, monitoring counselors and studios and managing the backstage expanse during studio rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and the final performance.
  • Other duties as assigned past the Managing Manager of Education and Creative Director or Summer Intensives.
  • Perform other duties equally assigned

Internships

American Ballet Theatre'southward Internship Program was established in Fall 2010 to provide pre-professional nonprofit piece of work feel for university students and recent graduates. To further expand ethnic and cultural diversity in classical ballet, ABT is committed to facilitating inclusive programs through its ABT RISE initiative.

Each year, approximately 40 interns join the ABT family, where they partner with a mentor and gain valuable piece of work experience in their areas of interest.

In addition to working with their mentors, interns participate in weekly meetings that promote professional development and provide opportunities to hear from leaders within the organisation. Interns may likewise help with a variety of special events; gaining exposure to important figures in the arts community.
